Most golf groups come to us with the same question: what exactly do I get? It's a fair one. “Golf package” means something different depending on who you ask. Here's exactly what's inside a Reno golf package from Golf the High Sierra, built from over 20 years of group bookings.

What's Always Included

Every package covers four core elements: guaranteed tee times at your chosen courses, group room rates at a casino resort partner, cart fees, and a single contract that covers all of it. You sign once, pay one deposit, and we handle the rest.

The single-contract structure matters more than people expect. When something changes — a player drops out, a tee time needs to shift — you call one number. We adjust everything. No juggling multiple vendors.

Reno is where our operation lives and breathes. We've been routing groups through these eight courses for 20+ years — and the lineup never disappoints. For the money, no other Sierra region comes close.

The 8 Courses You Can Book

Reno has eight championship courses in our active inventory. Most groups play two or three rounds per trip.

🏆
Private club access — ArrowCreek and Somersett
These are members-only clubs not bookable through any public channel. You need a planner with a direct club relationship. That access alone is worth the call.
  • Lakeridge Golf Course — Robert Trent Jones Jr. design. Hole 15 drops 140 feet to a true island green — the most photographed hole in Reno. 4.4★ (512 reviews).
  • ArrowCreek Country Club — Two private 18-hole courses (Arnold Palmer, Fuzzy Zoeller). Members-only. We have direct access.
  • Somersett Country Club — Private. Dramatic canyon views, championship conditions.
  • Wolf Run Golf Club — 7,100 yards through Reno's foothills. Sharp elevation changes, fast greens.
  • Red Hawk Golf Resort — Two championship courses in Sparks. Best for large groups needing split tee times.
  • Toiyabe Golf Club — Nevada's longest course at 7,700+ yards. The quiet power move for serious golfers.
  • Washoe County Golf Course — Nevada's oldest course (est. 1917) along the Truckee River. Best value round in Reno.
  • Winchester Golf & Country Club — Private access through GTHS. Championship layout in South Reno.

Reno's eight courses span the full range — island greens, canyon fairways, private club exclusivity, and best-value public rounds.

Casino Resort Lodging

We book group room blocks at eight casino resort partners. The major ones: Peppermill Resort Spa CasinoAtlantis Casino Resort SpaGrand Sierra Resort, and Silver Legacy Resort Casino. All within 15 minutes of the courses.

Group rates through GTHS are negotiated directly — not pulled from an OTA. For a group of 20+, the room savings alone often offset the cost of using a planner. Larger groups also unlock private dining rooms and poolside reservations that aren't available to the public.

What Packages Cost

Pricing in Reno starts at $275 per golfer for a 2-night, 2-round stay-and-play at a casino resort. Here's a realistic breakdown by tier:

  • Weekend (2 nights, 2 rounds): $275–$540/golfer — public courses, standard casino room
  • Sierra Classic (3 nights, 3 rounds): $540–$900/golfer — mix of public and private courses, upgraded lodging
  • Corporate / Large Group: Custom — shotgun starts, tournament formats, event buyouts available

Peak season (June–September) runs 15–25% higher than shoulder season. Groups of 20+ consistently see the best per-person rates. See full pricing on the Reno golf packages page.

Want to add Lake Tahoe or Truckee?
Multi-region trips are one of our most popular formats. Reno casino base + day trip to Edgewood Tahoe, Old Greenwood, or Coyote Moon. One contract covers all of it.

Optional Add-Ons

Beyond the core package, groups commonly add: shuttle transportation between hotel and courses, dining reservations at casino restaurants, and multi-course routing that extends into Truckee or Lake Tahoe. All goes on the same contract.

How the Booking Process Works

It starts with a call or a quote request. We ask three things: how many players, what dates, and what's your rough budget per person. Within 24 hours we send a custom quote with course options, lodging options, and per-person pricing. You pick what you want, we lock it in with one deposit.

From there, your group registers online through our TripsCaddie portal — each player pays their share directly, gets a confirmation. No spreadsheets. No chasing payments. You show up to the first tee.
