The Real Price Breakdown by Trip Length

Every price below comes from an actual GTHS package. These are not estimates or industry averages — they are what groups have paid for completed trips. Prices reflect the 10th–90th percentile range for each trip type based on our booking history.

5-day, 4 roundsEdgewood + Old Greenwood + Coyote Moon + InclineSplit lodging$849–$1,205

All prices include green fees, lodging, cart, and coordination. They do not include meals, transportation to Tahoe, or alcohol. Group size affects price — larger groups get better per-person rates on both tee times and room blocks.

Edgewood Tahoe is the most expensive course we book at Tahoe. It is also the one no group ever regrets. Playing the finishing holes on the shore of the lake is a bucket-list experience.

What Drives the Cost Up

Course selection — the biggest variable
Edgewood Tahoe green fees run $325–$395 per person at group rates. Incline Village Championship runs $195–$245. Old Greenwood and Coyote Moon sit in the $249–$299 range. Building a trip around Edgewood adds $200–$250 per person versus an Incline Village-anchored trip. Most groups with budget flexibility choose Edgewood as their anchor and pair it with one or two lower-cost courses.
🏨
Lodging tier — casino resort vs on-course
Casino resort rooms (Caesars Republic, Harrah's Lake Tahoe) run $180–$280 per night at group rates. The Old Greenwood resort cottages — the only lodging directly adjacent to a Jack Nicklaus course in the Sierra — run $320–$480 per night but accommodate 4–6 people, so the per-person cost is often comparable to casino rooms. Cottages are the right choice for groups that want to wake up at the course.
📅
Season — July costs 15–25% more than May
July and August are peak. Courses are in top condition and demand is highest. May and September offer the same courses in excellent shape at 15–25% lower green fees and room rates. September is particularly good — summer crowds are gone, temperatures are 70–80°F, and the fall color in the Sierra starts by late September.

How Group Size Affects Price

The per-person price drops as group size increases, primarily because room blocks become more efficient and tee time blocks can be optimized. A group of 8 pays roughly the same per person as a group of 16 at the room level, but lodging costs per person for a group of 24+ are typically 10–15% lower because we can negotiate full room blocks at better rates.

For groups under 8, prices run at the top of our ranges. For groups of 12–20 — the most common GTHS Lake Tahoe group size — prices sit in the middle of the ranges above. For groups of 24+, we can often come in below the bottom of these ranges.

Lake Tahoe vs Reno: Cost Comparison

Reno golf packages start at $275 per person for a 3-day trip — roughly 40% less than a comparable Lake Tahoe trip. The trade-off is the setting: Reno courses are excellent but landlocked, while Lake Tahoe courses play against one of the most scenic backdrops in American golf. Many groups split the difference by combining Reno and Tahoe in a single trip — two days in Reno, two days at Tahoe, under one GTHS contract.
