Our Point of view

Lakeridge is a favorite and an absolute “must play” as part of your Reno golf getaway.  It’s playable for all skill levels, has a great restaurant and overall great service, and its maturity and views are unique to other area golf courses.  It’s minutes from all downtown and outlying Reno hotels and casinos.  The 15th hole is quite possibly one of the most awe-inspiring golf holes that you’ll ever play!”

The Course

Championship Tees

At just a little over 6,700 yards from the championship tees, the course is set up to offer tremendous challenges to a shotmaker’s skill. From the regular tees, with a length of 6,141 yards, the challenges and fun still exist in a more attainable form.

Signature Hole

Island with a View

Lakeridge Golf Course is truly Reno’s Must See; Must Play Golf Course. Number 15, a par 3, features a tee shot from a hillside tee box 140 feet above the water to a true island! From the championship tee, this shot is 239 yards but plays about 195 yards to the middle of the green without wind. In windy conditions care must be taken at both the tee and the green. Lower and closer tees also are available without sacrificing the outstanding view of the city.

The “HACK”
The 15th Hole and it’s island green keeps bringing ‘em back! No better view of downtown Reno and beyond exists than the view from the tee boxes!
One of Reno’s oldest and established tracks! Mature trees, well-established green complexes, and good for all player levels.
15-minute drive from the downtown casinos and a 5-minute drive from Atlantis and Peppermill. Drink a few adult beverages during the round, then cheaply and safely take a ride back to your casino.

Our first day at Lakeridge Golf Course was #1 FUN. This stunning Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed golf course is a must... to play if you appreciate golf architecture half as much as we do. The course was in great shape from Tee to Green. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, especially the bartender who graciously re-opened for us as we finished after dark. 6 STARS and we look forward to returning again soon.read more

This course could easily be a 4/5 if the grounds crew took slightly better care of the fairways, etc. There are a few... very memorable holes and in terms of fun for your money spent, this is a good deal. Not the best municipal course I've played but above average in my book.read more

Played originally in July 2021. Greeted and taken care of very well from beginning to end. Fun and unique layout for a... mountain golf course. Played more traditional with few elevation changes. Beautiful vistas though. Pretty challenging, but fair. Difficult to score on a few of the par fives. This is one of those courses where you really want to play with someone who's been around a few times.*Editing this review to congratulate the staff at this course on their well deserved additional to Golf Digests Top 100 Public Courses. Well deserved!*read more
